Capacitybuilders Modernisation Fund – Real Help for Communities
This fund was focused on helping organisations that provide services to those worst hit by the recession. Through the summer and autumn of 2009 funding was targeted at helping these organisations overcome barriers to collaboration and merger or take steps to adapt to the recession.
SVSN was the delivery agency for this programme in Somerset and set up a workshop on merger and collaboration
Legal Aspects of Merger and Collaboration
SVSN also publicised the bursaries scheme, recruited a number of independent consultants and managed the administration of the Somerset bursaries. A number of Somerset organisations took this opportunity to pay for professional support to help them explore how they could increase their impact and become more resilient including working more closely with other organisations. Several organisation shave now applied for Phase 2 of the bursaries.
